Maria Cobb is a photographer based in Brooklyn, New York. She holds a BA in Photography & Imaging from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Maria has freelanced as a studio manager and digital tech for some of the industry’s top photographers. She originally hails from Rhode Island.

Maria’s work explores our connection with each other in both urban and natural settings. From gritty nighttime city scenes to quieter, rustic environments – her images reveal the complexity and vulnerability of human behavior. Maria is inspired by the personal relationships in her life, and how they constantly shift and evolve. She wants to capture a person’s seemingly insignificant characteristics – characteristics that, in turn, expose a great deal about her subjects and her connection to them. Whether it is a gathering of friends or a typical family dinner, she aims to depict the intimate, meaningful, and offbeat subtleties of everyday life.
